Dear Parents and Carers
It has been a huge pleasure to welcome pupils back this week. They have bounced back from the break with huge energy and enthusiasm. Thank you for your support.
Clothing: As the cold snap continues please ensure that your child attends school in an unbranded navy or black jacket. We insist that items are unbranded to avoid peer pressure to buy expensive labelled items.
It is important that pupils get fresh air during the day and they will be outside during break and lunchtime in all but the worst weather. Please note that hoods are not permitted to be up unless it is raining so do please ensure your child has a black or navy hat through the winter months to keep them warm.
Oxford University Trip: All of Y9 will be visiting Oxford University for the day on either Monday or Wednesday of this week. They will have an opportunity to experience academic life, meet Oxford students and even attend some lectures. We are hopeful that they will return to school for normal dismissal but will let you know if they are running late.
Parent meetings: Y10 Parents' Evening will take place online on Thursday from 4-7pm. Academic Review Day for Y7-9 will take place online through the day on Friday. Please ensure that you follow joining instructions and ensure that the camera and microphone on your device are working. If you need technical assistance then please contact the school office. Please do ensure that you attend and that you join with your child if possible. School will be closed to all pupils on this Friday.
Enjoy the remainder of the weekend,
Mr Neuberger
This Week's Highlights
The students of Ark Soane have hit the ground running in the first week of school of 2026! Classrooms are filled with loud voices, straight arms and hard working brains. Not only that, our students were even working hard over their Christmas break. Just take a look at these fantastic pieces from our Year 10 artists!

Vaccinations (3-in-1 teenage booster and Meningitis vaccine)
We will be offering two vaccinations to all Year 9s on Thursday 5th February 2026.
The 3-in-1 teenage booster (Td/IPV vaccine) is given to boost protection against 3 separate diseases: tetanus, diphtheria and polio. The 3-in-1 teenage booster is free on the NHS for all teenagers as part of the national immunisation programme.
It is routinely given at the same time as the MenACWY vaccine. In total, you need 5 doses of the Tetanus, Diphtheria and Polio vaccines through your childhood. This will build up and maintain your body's own immunity against these infections and protect you against the diseases.
Please see the NHS letter to parents sent home with your child next week and either consent or decline the vaccine for your child using this link:
https://nwl.schoolvaccination.uk/dtp/2025/ealing
The deadline for consent is 3rd February 2026.
Thank you for your support.
