Welcome
Our sixth form will open in September 2026. Applications for our first cohort will launch in November 2025.
Ark Soane Sixth Form will be a place for students who want to work hard and belong to a close-knit community. Building on the success of our school, we will offer an ambitious, highly academic education within a calm, structured, and purposeful environment.
Please read our sixth form prospectus to learn more about our vision and approach. Printed copies are available at school reception.
Sixth form curriculum
Our Sixth From will offer a pure A-level curriculum. From our current Year 11 subject offer, this includes Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, English Literature, History, Religious Studies, Geography, French, and Art.
In addition, sixth formers will be able to study four new subjects: Economics, Sociology, Psychology, and Government and Politics – as well as Further Maths.
Most students will study three A levels. The exception is Further Maths, which must be taken as a fourth A level.
Please note that not all subject combinations may be possible. We will prioritise traditional combinations, such as Sciences with Maths, but others will depend on student demand. We therefore encourage applicants to think in terms of broad interests rather than fixed combinations, and to keep an open mind with a few backup options.

Applications
Internal applicants (pupils currently studying in Year 11 at Ark Soane Academy) will complete their applications online and in school.
External applicants (those currently not studying in Year 11 at Ark Soane Academy) must apply online through our website. A link to the application form will be shared on this page once applications open.
External applicants must visit Ark Soane Academy before applying. Please use this form to book one of our sixth form open mornings. Pupils must attend in school uniform and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All applications will open in mid-November and remain open until the end of December.
