Dear Parents and Carers
I hope you are having a great weekend and safely enjoyed any fireworks celebrations.
The pupils have done us proud since their return on Tuesday. Every year group have hit the ground running and are focused on preparing for their upcoming Christmas Exams - which are only three weeks away.
The Year 11s, above all, have shown huge determination in their work ethic over half-term and came straight back to their penultimate set of mocks before their GCSEs. They will have their final exams tomorrow and then launch straight back into completing their GCSE syllabus ready to start serious exam preparation in the new year.
On Tuesday we hosted a group of school leaders from Chile. They were absolutely blown away by how hard the pupils were working, how passionately pupils spoke of their school experience and their love of family dining in particular.
Remembrance Day Ceremonies: We will be hosting Remembrance Assemblies on Tuesday morning. Please encourage your child to buy a poppy this weekend or to bring money for a donation for a poppy - which they can get off their tutor - tomorrow.
Sixth Form Information Evening: We will be hosting an information evening for our Y11 Parents on Thursday at 5.30pm. We hope to see all Y11 parents there.
Coats: Please ensure that your child brings a coat with a hood or an umbrella into school as pupils will be outside during break and lunchtime in all but the most extreme weather.
Enjoy the remainder of the weekend,
Mr Neuberger
This Week's Highlights
There has been even more good news from the football field to kick off this half term. Congratulations to the Year 9 Boys Team who sealed a fantastic 4-0 win against Phoenix Academy. A big well done to the whole team, especially our goal scorers and those students making their team debut!
