Dear Parents and Carers
I have met with over 600 Y6 pupils and their families over the last month as we edge towards the application deadline for the next intake of Y7s. Feedback from families has been universal: pupils at Soane are thriving in an environment of warmth, joy, love and humour. Thank you to you and your children for all your support through the start of the year.
INSET - Friday 17th October: A reminder that school will be closed to pupils for staff training on Friday 17th October.
Colder weather: Please ensure that your child has a warm jacket and a jumper as we enter the cooler months. Pupils will be outside at the start of the school day, break time and lunch time in all but the most extreme weather.
Y11 mock exams: A reminder that Year 11 mock exams will take place immediately on return from half-term. We will provide pupils with a topic list and timetable this week.
I hope you enjoy the remainder of the weekend.
Kind regards,
Mr Neuberger
This Week's Highlights
With only a few short weeks until the end of term, things have not slowed down at Ark Soane. All around the school, students are working hard and having fun in lessons, in the library and in a whole host of afterschool clubs and activities.
Auditions for the school play brought out talent from across the year groups. Congratulations to all those who were cast and a huge well done to everyone that auditioned!
Year 8 are cooking up a storm in their enrichment lessons, there are certainly a few budding chefs honing their skills at Ark Soane.
There has been more news from the football pitch, with our Year 7 and Year 10 teams heading to away matches this week. Despite valiant effort their were no wins this time around, but there were still some fantastic performances (and amazing goals) from our side. Well done!
The STEM club is off to a flying start. An amazing experiment creating parachutes and testing them out in the yard, so much fun!
