Dear Parents and Carers
Thank you for your support through an incredible first week back. For the first time ever Ark Soane has 900 pupils!
Some particular highlights for me this week have been:
- Seeing so many pupils celebrating with their reward postcards on Friday
- Hearing the newly joined pupils belting out poetry in family dining and engaging in their appreciations with 100% effort
- Seeing the quantity of summer work completed by our Y10s and Y11s in preparation for the year ahead
- Seeing the unwavering commitment from the Y11s as they start on their GCSE year with every single one of the team hungry to achieve the top GCSE grades.
Thank you for your support and for the warm welcome parents and carers have given to new staff. Now, more than ever, that support will be what encourages brilliant teachers to come and work at Soane.
Parking near the school: If dropping off or picking up your child please only park in legal parking bays. The Fire Brigade have complained that cars are blocking Woodlands Avenue which creates a fire risk for the school and the flats above. If driving then please arrange a pick-up point near the school. Many parents use the Morrison's Car Park.
Year 7 Tutor Evening: We look forward to welcoming all Y7 parents to the Meet The Tutor Evening on Thursday. Please arrive from 4.45 for a 5pm start. Please note that this event is for parents and carers only.
MCAS and Ipay: All parents and carers need to be set up on these two systems. If you have not yet been able to log in then please drop into the school office between 8am and 4pm and we will support you in setting these up.
I look forward to seeing all the pupils by 8.25 tomorrow.
Kind regards,
Mr Neuberger
This Week’s Highlights
The students of Ark Soane have had an amazing start to the new school year! There have been lots of happy faces (despite the unpredictable weather) and we are so excited to have students back in the building.
We are already hard at work. There is plenty of summer revision, extension work and homework piling up in the classrooms. It's only week one and, from Year 7 all the way to Year 11, everyone is excited to be learning!

From weaving, to handprints, to giant bags of M&Ms, some amazing art is already brightening up the school!

What a fantastic start to the year! We cannot wait to see what our amazing students do next.
