Dear Parents and Carers
As this is the final Parent Bulletin of this academic year I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your unwavering support. I have no doubt that Ark Soane is at the forefront of transforming children's futures - but this would not be possible were it not for the encouragement and backing that we get from parents every single day. I hope you have a great summer and have an opportunity to relax with your children before their return in September.
Please ensure that your child attends every day through to the end of term on Wednesday as these trips and celebrations are an essential opportunity for us to continue to build culture and camaraderie in the community.
- Tomorrow KS3 pupils will be attending their second day of trips. Y10 will have their Sports Day.
- On Tuesday KS3 pupils will have their Sports Day while Y10 are out on trips.
- On Wednesday we will start school at normal time in full uniform for final assemblies and will dismiss at 12.45.
Please remind your child that they must go straight home after these activities to change out of their uniform/PE kit.
Term will start on Thursday 4th September for incoming Y7s, Monday 8th September for Y11s (Academic Review Day) and Tuesday 9th September for Y8-10. Please ensure that your child is ready and prepared for the start of term.
Studies have shown that pupils can regress in their learning by between 1 and 3 months over the summer holidays - you can read more about this here. Please encourage your child to read frequently and engage their brain in other ways over the break. Pupils going in to Y10 and into Y11 have been issued with a summer workpack that must be completed before your child returns in September as they prepare for their GCSE exams.
I hope you enjoy the remainder of the weekend and the holidays when they come.
Kind regards,
Mr Neuberger
This Week's Highlights
It was a fantastic final full week of school as the students and teachers got to celebrate their successes over the year, and end of year trips began! Congratulations to 7 Cicero, 8 Cicero, 9 Alexander and 10 Alexander for being tutor groups of the term, and the winning forms got to celebrate with pizza parties!
Year 10 DofE students completed their assessed expedition last weekend, with the students successfully navigating, cooking, and camping in the stunning New Forest. Congratulations to all involved.

A select group of Year 10s were also treated to a lovely reward trip to Putt in the Park on Wednesday. These students have worked exceptionally hard all year, and had a great time chasing a hole-in-one!

To finish off a big week, Friday saw the start of Soane's annual end of year trips. We had students off to Thorpe Lakes, Go Ape, Kings College, West Wittering Beach, and many more. The students all had a hugely memorable day and the joy all round was lovely to see.
