Dear Parents and Carers
On Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending the Ark Music Gala at The Barbican. It was absolutely extraordinary to see the talent on show from Ark Schools across the country and the standards that our pupils can achieve with dedication and practice. Soane pupils were a huge credit to the school and showed professionalism and poise while performing on stage at one of London's biggest and most prestigious music venues. A huge congratulations to all pupils involved.
On Thursday we celebrated the year with our second Summer Fete. It is such a highlight of the Soane calendar and a great opportunity to see the pupils demonstrating real independence, showing off their school with pride and sharing their gratitude with their teachers. Thanks to all staff and parents who ran stalls, to the music team for phenomenal entertainment and all who joined us on Thursday. We are already looking forward to the Summer 2026 Fete!
With 2.5 weeks of term left we have lots more to celebrate: a concert this week, trips starting next week and further trips, a sports day and celebrations in the final week. Outside of these events lessons and homework will continue at our normal pace - school time is too valuable for us to do anything else. Please support your child by ensuring they remain on top of their homework as we go into the end of the school year.
Please remember that every child is legally required to attend through to the end of term. We do not want any children missing valuable curriculum time or our important community activities which will continue all the way through to dismissal at 12.45 on 23rd July. Term will start on Thursday 4th September for incoming Y7s, Monday 8th September for Y11s (Academic Review Day) and Tuesday 9th September for Y8-10. Please ensure that your child is ready and prepared for the start of term.
This week we have our Concert on Thursday. We would be delighted to see as many parents as possible - please see details below.
To support preparation for September school will finish for all pupils at 1.45 on Friday. There will be no after-school clubs running.
I hope you enjoy the remainder of the weekend.
Kind regards,
Mr Neuberger
This Week's Highlights
It was a fantastic week at Soane as the students relished in the sun post-exams and the whole community gathered for the annual Summer Fete. Parents, students, and staff all came together to pull off a wonderful afternoon, and the final total raised for Ealing Food Bank will be confirmed soon. We look forward to next year's event already!

It was also the Ark Music Gala on Wednesday, and twenty of our best musicians represented Soane at the Barbican. On a massive professional stage, students performed in large ensembles and choirs with other Ark schools to a packed-out crowd. Congratulations to all students who participated in the event.
