Enrichment
At Ark Soane, we equip students with both education and character. To be the drivers of their own destinies, we know there is more to success than academic achievement alone. Education isn’t simply about passing exams.
All students at Soane take part in Enrichment once a week as part of the school day. They select from a broad range of extra-curricular activities, working towards a project at the end of each term presented to our wider community. Taking place in smaller groups than regular lessons, Enrichment allows students to develop new interests and gain knowledge to widen their access to university, careers, and pathways of their choice. It is a joyous part of the week, where every single student learns about something they have expressed a clear interest in. This helps them to make more informed decisions when it comes to GCSE & A Level options, university choices, and other pathways.
Our current enrichment offer includes emergency first aid, sustainability, chess, samba drumming, introductory Japanese and Arabic, and many more. This will be expanded and developed as we continue to grow, making use of staff expertise, volunteers, and third parties where meaningful projects or opportunities present themselves.

Oliver! Jr-auditions
Our first school show Oliver! Jr will be taking place during WC 10th July 2023. Auditions will be held on Thur 17th (Year 7) and Thur 24th November (Year 8) from 3:40 to 5:30. Parents must complete the MS Form below confirming they consent to their child attending auditions due to the late finish:

Clubs on Mondays – Thursdays take place between 15:25-16:30 at the original Ark Soane site.
Clubs on Fridays take place at Gunnersbury Park 14:25-16:10, except Samba which runs 14:25-15:30 at the original Ark Soane site.
Yoga and Kung Fu are led by external instructors and are run from 15:25-16:40.
Students taking part in Yoga, Kung Fu, Netball, Football, or Tennis, must bring their PE kit to change into.
Please note that Football and Tennis are operated by Brentford Community Sports Trust (BCST) for the exclusive participation of Soane students. By signing up to this club you are agreeing to BCST’s rules and terms of participation.
